Michelle Farrell - Creature Final

  1. It would appear that I commented on your black and white comps and not your finished ones! So I apologize for that!

Cute little pig/bunny/aardvark thing. I bet he tastes pretty good!

That said, I would watch the little critters front paw. It looks like there is a tangent with his arm and the back of the other leg, and between the forearm and his underbelly.

  2. Oooh, I like these! There's just a couple things that I'm questioning. First, your colored creature. I'm unsure what kind of hands he has in the front. Are they like ant eater claws or sloth? Are they claws at all? Because what I'm seeing are pink claws, but maybe they are long digits. Second, for both of them. I like their pointed backs, but I can't tell if that is anatomy or hair making their backs pointed. If it's hair, there's an easy fix by extending a couple lines around the apex. Third, I don't know if this is just me or not, but it looks like the black and white guy is going to fall over because his legs are crossed, like he's doing some fancy foot work. Maybe he does dance?

  3. I am loving the shapes of these guys. I also think the texture of the colored one is extremely believable - and it definitely looks like a short haired animal. I would love to see the scale of these guys. Are they huge? Mid-size? Oh my goodness if your colored one was like really small like a mouse I would just die.

However, I am not sure where the mouth on the colored one is. Maybe he doesn't have a mouth and just sucks food right through his snout (anything is possible). Adding something like a lower jaw underneath his nose would be an easy way to indicate a mouth if you wanted to. Also if those front-foot-sharp-pointy-awesome toes are in fact claws I would maybe put a dividing line (I see that there's a color change) between the foot and claw.
